June 2019

Our SUMMER CURRICULUM BEGINS –

Beginning June 2, we’re heading on to the summer program, UU World Travelers.  Once again our students “travel” around the world, learning new skills along the way, without ever leaving Kansas.  Every week a new host from the Fellowship takes them on a “tour” of a far-away place, new skill, imaginary or real life destination.

Do you have a passion you’d like to share? There are still slots open and we’d love to have you join us for a morning. Do you cook? Have you been on a cruise? Contact Sandy Nelson at DRE@uufm.net for details on the summer program.

Summer World Traveler Tour Guides for 2018:  Dan Swenson and Larry Weaver (canoeing);  Deirdre Greeley, Carrie and Luca Cave (Washington DC); Rob Delong (fishing); Jonalu Johnstone (pilgrimage); Enell Foerster (Peru); Elke Lorenz (The Brothers Grimm); Carol Sevin (Tanzania); Maeve & Kathleen Tanona (Haiti); Scott, Ronan, & Rose Tanona (Italy); and Carolyn Kelly (Cuba).  My apologies if I forgot someone.

An extra thank you goes to the entire fellowship for donating to food drives and sock drives, coming to family fun events like the Holiday parade, Pride and Trunk or Treat; and bringing kids to, or helping at, Parent Night Out/Kid Night In. Your participation in the program is what makes everything worthwhile.

Remember: all children must be registered for the 2018-2019 year and registration forms are available on the RE bulletin board at the end of the hallway as well as online at:  2018-19 Registration Form
