Creative Nonviolence

Rev Jonalu Johnstone presents this service.  As we remember those who have died in service to the nation, we also wonder whether we will always resort to war.  Our nation struggles around how to balance diplomacy with self-defense.  Even in our personal lives, we find it hard to know how to proceed when we come to a place of conflict.  No one wants to give in and look weak.  Nor do we want to escalate a problem so that violence becomes inevitable.  Are there different ways to navigate our responses to challenges from others?  Can we bring creativity to nonviolence?  Convener is Dick Beeman at rbeeman@cox.net.
