The Wisdom of Trees and Rocks: How We Learn from Nature

Until further notice, there will be NO in-person attendance at Sunday services.   Services may be viewed virtually at https://uuma.zoom.us/j/9797400824, beginning at 10:30 am, on Sunday mornings.  Find helpful information and links at https://uufm.net/zoom/.

Rev Jonalu Johnstone reflects, “Recent books like The Wisdom of Trees and Braiding Sweetgrass have recalled us to old, deep sources of wisdom, learning from nature itself.  More than 20 years ago, we added ‘Spiritual teachings of Earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature’ as a UU Source.  What have we learned about how to not only live in harmony with the rhythms of nature, but also to actually learn from those rhythms?”  Our convener is Michael Oldfather at mou812@ksu.edu.
