SUMMER WORLD TRAVELERS

It’s Summer and time for the UU World Travelers program. Our RE students travel around the world, learning new skills along the way, without ever leaving Kansas. Every week a new host from the Fellowship takes them on a “tour” of a far-away place, new skill, imaginary or real-life destination. We’re hoping to have an overnight backyard camping trip, canoeing (an annual favorite), and more.

Do you have a passion you’d like to share? There are lots of open Sundays and we’d love to have you join us for a morning. Do you cook? Have you been on a cruise? Contact Sandy Nelson at DRE@uufm.net for details on the summer program.

Clara Mayfield share pictures during a her Mt. Whitney World Traveler event.
Cathy Hedge takes students on a tour of their imagination.
The annual canoe trip is a summer favorite.

Parents, are you interested in a night out? Kids, are you interested in a night in? The second Friday of July is the event you’ve been waiting for! Parent Night Out (Kid Night In) is for children from 3-12 years old who can toilet on their own with minimal assistance. We watch a movie, have some snacks, and games and art projects are available. A $5 per child contribution helps us cover expenses. Dinner is NOT served at Parent Night Out. Please be sure your kids are fed before arriving. REMEMBER: THIS IS AN RSVP EVENT AND SPACE IS LIMITED. Please RSVP to Sandy no later than Thursday, July 7.

OUTDOOR FUN

We gather each Saturday from 1:00-3:00pm at CICO PARK!  The playground is great, there’s a big field for knocking a ball around or flying kites, and parking is easy.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join the fun.
