What’s Happening in RE September 2023

September is a month of welcoming. Welcome to the new school year. Welcome to a new season. Welcome back to old routines. Welcome to new routines.

WELCOME!

SEPT 3: WELCOMING WELCOME – THE WIDER WORK OF WELCOME
We explore the way we are called to be open and welcoming to everyone and, at the same time, acknowledge that this does not happen easily. We must work at being welcoming, and at times, that can be both a challenge and a comfort. Being welcoming is part of what we do as UUs.

SEPTEMBER 10: WELCOMING OUR MANY SOURCES OF NOURISHMENT – WATER COMMUNION

This is an all-generations service. Join us afterwards for lots of water fun like duck races, water painting, sponge toss (volunteer to have a sponge in your face!), and more!

SEPTEMBER 17: WELCOMING CHANGE – AUTUMN EQUINOX

We explore being open to change and how we are called to pay attention and connect to nature. We’ll have a chance to explore how being open and welcoming to change is a primary way of living our beliefs of being an evolving faith. In short, as UUs we believe that as things change, so must we.

SEPTEMBER 24: AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

Welcome to wacky. We’ll waddle and wiggle and whip up some wonderfulness with the waffle iron to whet our withering appetites. We may even whistle while we work. Wow.
