OUR WHOLE LIVES (OWL) K-2
Our Whole Lives (OWL) for those in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be offered February 2 – March 1. The K-2 program supports parents in educating children about birth, babies, bodies and families. The weekly one-hour sessions engage children with stories, songs, and activities and include a weekly HomeLink–a homework project for parents and children to do together.
This class meets in the Jupiter room every Sunday from 12:30-2:00. Thank you in advance for not exiting through the Jupiter room while class is in session. If you have questions about this nationally acclaimed curriculum, please contact Sandy at 341-0135 or dre@uufm.net.
MUSICAL KIDS
UUFM is looking for musical kids to play quiet music from 10:35 to 10:45 prior to service as people are entering the building and mingling. This is a perfect opportunity for young musicians to practice performing in a low pressure, supportive environment. Contact Renae or Sandy if you’re interested.
YOGA FOR KIDS AGES 3 – 6th GRADE
Yoga+Donuts is FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC on the first Sunday of every month at First Congregational church at 700 Poyntz. Winter is a great time to practice mindfulness, make new friends, and enjoy healthy physical activity indoors. Classes are led by a team of trained teachers and are free and open to the public. Donations to defray the cost of this public service are welcome. Caregivers are welcome to stay to observe or drop their kids and enjoy a free hour. More information and registration available on the Shining Light Yoga website or from Sandy.
TEEN LUNCH – Sunday, February 16
Teens (7th grade and up) are invited to gather for lunch after the service. We usually go to AJs for pizza (but you can suggest somewhere else). Bring $5 to cover your meal.
