September 2020

Have you noticed that the advertising phrase “Back to School” has become “Back to Education?”  We’ve always known that education happens beyond school and outside of the Monday-Friday schedule. That said, “Sunday” school is looking a bit different these days. For starters, this summer we’ve been gathering on Saturdays.

This fall we’re offering a variety of methods to engage in religious education (RE). Current plans are to use the same monthly themes as the adults with at least three different ways to engage: packets for at home, online through Zoom, and small groups in-person (see below). Families are encouraged to mix and match. Let me know what your family prefers or complete the survey arriving by email soon.

Each Saturday (as long as the weather holds) from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. we continue to gather at the K-State Intramural Fields (corner of Denison and Kimball). The fields provide a lovely opportunity for kids to run off energy, fly kites, or explore for bugs while maintaining good distance. Extremely good distance!

Bring your own lawn chair and a beverage, and enjoy the company of others while staying safe.

I hope you’ll join us!

Book (and some video) lending continues…
I am blessed to live in a house with many books. If you’re tired of digital media and the library is still not easily accessible, I’ve got some to lend. View the list at: https://bit.ly/2S89QBL
