In these weeks between Juneteenth and Independence Day, we reflect on freedom. We open our hearts to all who are not free, especially those enduring the horrors of mass incarceration, deportation, and border violence. And we tap into the modern Unitarian Universalist abolition movement for the spiritual energy to dismantle coercion and control and introduce transformative justice and relational practices throughout society.
