We launch our month of Cultivating Compassion by sharing bread, grain, and other staples of diverse cultures, including immigrant communities. Congregations across Kansas and the country are practicing an Immigration Sabbath, timed with World Communion Sunday, to raise awareness about the national crisis of unjust immigration enforcement. By “breaking bread” together (including gluten-free varieties), we tap into our hunger for justice and nourish ourselves for solidarity. And how fitting that the Bread Basket is our Helping Hands recipient this month!
Join us in-person on Zeandale Rd or on Zoom.
