Blessing of the Animals (multigenerational service) (video available)

Our Animal Blessing is an all-ages service recognizing the animals in our lives as wise and compassionate teachers. Human participants are invited to bring one animal in-person (or on Zoom) or submit one photo of animals to be blessed by the congregation. We’ll also be joined by a clew of our newest members: worms! We will bless and thank them for the gift of compost that they will leave in our new worm bin.

Note: All who play nicely with other species are welcome to attend in-person. To minimize allergens throughout the building, non-human participants should enter through the emergency door behind the pulpit. (This is on the south side of the building. You enter by walking past the kitchen door.) The Sanctuary will be deep-cleaned following the service.

If you want to submit a photo of your animal friend(s), email it to tech@uufm.net by Saturday noon. Please be present in-person or on Zoom so that we can bless you, too.

Join us in-person on Zeandale Rd or on Zoom.

You can find the Order of Service here.
