What’s Happening in RE – July 2026

There are a lot of exciting things in the works in the world of Whole Church RE. Summer is the time when leadership do a lot of reflection and evaluation on the past church year, as well as visioning and goal setting for the upcoming one. It is also the time when your religious professionals and congregational delegates connect with other UU’s through the Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly, gaining insight and inspiration from their work, experiences, and dialogue together.

This month, we are offering a couple of opportunities for you to ask questions and provide feedback that will help us discern and prioritize our goals and RE program offerings for the coming year:

The first is a UUFM Whole Church Religious Education 2026-2027 survey. Pastor Isa and I have been talking a lot about lifespan religious education. From our dialogue, Pastor Isa has put together a survey with information about and ideas for programming that we will or could offer in the coming year, which has been given the blessing of the RE Team. We invite you all to fill it out so that we can focus our efforts on the programming that best meets your needs.

The second is a Middle School OWL Parent/Guardian Q&A session, scheduled for Sunday, July 26th at 3pm at UUFM. Parents with children in grades 7-9 who are interested in signing up for or learning more about Our Whole Lives sexuality education – specifically the Middle School curriculum – are invited to come and meet with the facilitators.

Looking forward to exploring with you,

Emily Fraser
