Sabbath is a term we inherit from Hebrew spirituality, but the concept shows up in many traditions, and the experience of rest is essential to life on earth. Explicitly naming its importance is crucial to staying sane in a culture and economy that denies the needs of our bodies and souls. This Sunday we explore a Unitarian Universalist theology of sabbath in light of our deep commitments to resisting oppression.
