Ouch! Oops! Gosh! Darn! (video available)

Oops! Ouch! Gosh Darn! Participating in community life can feel pretty vulnerable at times. Sometimes we can feel hurt, dismissed or confused by what someone says or does. Sometimes we ourselves are the ones causing hurt to others, even with the best of intentions. Sometimes this can even edge into bullying. Let’s explore some healthy practices for dealing with our inevitable misunderstandings from being together as humans.

Rev. Shelley Page serves as the Developmental Minister at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lawrence. A graduate of Cornell University and Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, she also served congregations in Delaware, Michigan, Utah and Alaska. A Unitarian Universalist for over 40 years, her lay leadership roles include founding mother of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Canandaigua in New York. Her previous careers included marketing and communications management for business and not-for-profit organizations.

This Sunday our congregations are swapping pulpits — Pastor Isabel Call will be in Lawrence.
