Whole Church RE is an approach that combines three things:

• the need for shared experiences that connect people and build covenantal community, an essential part of our non-creedal faith
• lifespan faith development’s role in shaping and strengthening UU identity and commitment within and among individuals and their communities
• engaging and powerful practices in religious education (RE) but underutilized in adult or all-ages spaces

All we do is faith development. All we teach is Unitarian Universalism. The congregation is the curriculum.

In this service for all ages, Pastor Isabel and Director of Religious Education Emily Fraser introduce the idea of Whole Church Religious Education. Together, we’ll explore some intergenerational activities for a taste of what Whole Church RE might look and feel like.
