What’s Happening in RE November 2025

To my beautiful UUFM community,

As I continue to address safety needs and create and/or update accessible and welcoming spaces for RE programming in our building, the need for resource support from the UUFM community is becoming more pronounced. We entered this fiscal year with a particularly tight budget, so – in addition to me personally donating many items needed along the way – the RE Team developed the RE WISHLIST with the Board’s approval to help us creatively source the boost needed to get things going. We launched it last month, and have received a few items already – many thanks to those who have contributed! If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do. There are still a number of things that we could really use on that list, both used and new – most pressingly: plastic storage containers with lids in various sizes.

Our focus has been to get the Jupiter Room and the Nursery into working order. The Jupiter room is in pretty good shape functionally now, though we’d like to get some updated posters. The Nursery is our next big project and is where we could really use some support. For both safety and functionality reasons, we need plastic storage containers to hold and protect toys and supplies and make it easier for Nursery Staff to rotate items in and out of the nursery. Our Nursery Staff would also love to update the decor in the nursery. You can find examples and requests for decor in the RE WISHLIST.

On the Work Day on November 8th, we plan to do a deep clean and reorganization of the Nursery. Please join us if you are interested and able!

In the new year, I hope to switch my primary focus from safety infrastructure to reaching out to people and families about what they need. What do you need? What does your family need? What do you want out of RE Programming? How do you want to connect as a community? What kinds of activities work for your schedules? Etc.

Grounded in love,
