Fellowship member Ron Parks reflects on the process of authoring his recent book, The Darkest Period: The Kanza Indians and Their Last Homeland, 1846-1873.   After reading short excerpts from chapter five, he will share his insights on the ways the Kanza tribe related physically and spiritually to their richly variable homeland on the central plains.  He will also look at how Euro-Americans rationalized the conquest of this land and its inhabitants.  Learn more from Michael Nelson at revmichael@uufm.net.
