Friday, August 12: Screening of Finding Nemo during Parent Night Out

Saturday, August 13: FREE SWIM (courtesy of UUFM) at Northview Pool. (Free entry from 1:00-1:30pm or by arrangement.)

Sunday, August 14: Canoe adventure during RE class at Pillsbury Crossing (or Pott 2). 

 

PARENT NIGHT OUT (KID NIGHT IN) – FRIDAY, AUGUST 12, 6:00-9:00 P.M.
Parents, are you interested in a night out? Kids, are you interested in a night in? The second Friday of the month is the event you’ve been waiting for! Parent Night Out (Kid Night In) is for children from 3-12 years old who can toilet on their own with minimal assistance. We watch a movie, have some snacks, and games and art projects are available. A $5 per child contribution helps us cover expenses. Dinner is NOT served at Parent Night Out. Please be sure your kids are fed before arriving. REMEMBER: THIS IS AN RSVP EVENT AND SPACE IS LIMITED. Please RSVP to Sandy no later than Wednesday, August 10. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the location details. As part of Water Weekend, we’ll be screening “Finding Nemo.”

 

OUTDOOR FUN – AT NORTHVIEW POOL

For our final, summer Outdoor Fun, we’re meeting at Northview Pool on August 13 as part of Water Weekend. Find me at the entrance under the rainbow umbrella between 1:00 and 1:30 and UUFM will pay for your entry. Bring the whole family! Timing not right for you and your family? RE CANOE ADVENTURE – SUNDAY, AUGUST 14

Water Weekend concludes with our annual canoe event at Pillsbury Crossing. We’ll leave EARLY from the fellowship at 10:00am. Let me know if you can help with carpooling. Permission forms will need to be completed prior to departure for kids going without parents. EVERYONE is invited to come out after the service and picnic. Have your own canoe, kayak, or life jacket? Bring it with you.

 

BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS – SUNDAY, AUGUST 21

Students and educators are invited to bring backpacks, book bags, briefcases, etc. for a back to school blessing on Sunday, August 21. We’ll have a special tag to adorn your bag as a reminder of your UUFM family. Worshipping online or can’t make it that day? – Let me know so I can drop off your special tag.
