What’s Happening in RE March 2023

THE PATH OF VULNERABILITY

In March we explore the challenges and paths of vulnerability. Each path includes an exploration of a moment of vulnerability. The aim is to explore four key moments when life asks us to be vulnerable. Each path includes a statement that expresses how we are being asked to be vulnerable.

Life Asks Us to Be Vulnerable…

*When We Seek Friendship (On the ability to say, “I like you.”)

*When We Can’t Do It On Our Own (On the ability to say “I need help.”)

*When We Hope (On the ability to say “I trust it will happen.“)

*When We Show Our True Selves (On the ability to say “This is me.”)

We introduce “vulnerability” as a “leap of faith.” And so, we introduce the image of a frog. Working with children means finding metaphors for these sometimes complicated themes. We hope that the metaphor of the frog gives our children a smile, as well as helping them connect with the theme.
