The fiscal year is drawing to a close, and it’s been another year of vibrant growth and change at UUFM. We enjoyed a successful Annual meeting at which three (young!) new Board members were voted in; Bylaws were updated and consent decision-making was approved for Board meetings; and a new UUFM “LGBTQ Coming Out and Solidarity Statement of Principle” was unanimously approved. The quest to fill the position of permanent Director of Religious Education has kicked into high gear, with reports of light being seen at the end of the tunnel. As the new budget was being approved, treasurer Jason Coleman’s careful and conscientious stewardship, something we had become accustomed to under Dan Swenson’s past guidance, was clearly manifest, as were the efforts of all other members of the Finance and Generosity teams. Our music program continues to grow and thrive under the leadership of Jeff Brown and family. The tech team continues to ensure the smooth operation of every Sunday Service, performing their vital and much-appreciated tasks out-of-the-limelight. Our Sunday programs led by Pastor Isa are reliably creative, thoughtful and uplifting. Dozens of others of you, too numerous to mention and too many for me to track, continue to pitch in to keep the UUFM ship afloat and tacking into the wind. I encourage each of you to notice what others do, and to thank them on a regular basis!
