June Board Update

The start of a new fiscal year began on June 1, which marked the changing season for the UUFM Board as well. I am honored to step into the role of Board Chair for UUFM this year and to walk alongside you as siblings in this vibrant, inclusive congregation we seek to be. While our nation and world are in the midst of unrest, injustice, and profound change, we will continue to work to ensure that our congregation remains a place of love, courage, and hope. a place where we can nourish and renew our spirits.

As I begin my time in this role, I want to express deep gratitude to the 2024-2025 Board members for all of the work we did together. The care and dedication shown by all Board members helped guide us through a year of growth, challenge, and connection. Pastor Isa, Dick Beeman, Christie Launius, and Jason Coleman, I have learned so much from each of you this past year, and I look forward to another year of co-creation with you. To Emily Fraser, Marisa Larson, and Cathy Hedge, I hope you know that your service has made a lasting impact, and your absence will be felt. Thank you all for your deep commitment to the UUFM community.

At the same time, I am excited to welcome our newest Board members, Sage Phipps-Hinkle, Kaidy Li Smith, and Joe Zalewski. Each of you brings unique perspectives, energy, and wisdom to our mission, and I look forward to the collaborative spirit we will cultivate together as we continue weaving the fabric of this beloved community grounded in human compassion, faith, and justice.

In community,
