Rev Jonalu Johnstone offers her reflections.  What makes change happen socially and culturally?  At one time, scientist saw evolution as a slow process with subtle change from generation to generation.  Now, there’s more attention to how outward events create sudden adaptations and radical shifts.  Does culture change more in gradual incremental ways, or do conditions generate radical social changes in a short period of time?  And how does that relate to life now?  In the shadow of coronavirus, we stand balanced between different visions of what our world, and our nation, might become.  What social changes can we expect?  What social changes can we encourage?  Our convener is Tom Phillips at  twp1@ksu.edu.
