UU Travelers… Campfire & Canoe Trip

What a great weekend! Saturday night many of us gathered around the campfire and sang songs, roasted marshmallows, and made S’mores. We even tried our hands at campfire apple pies.  Okay, we burned more than we ate, but it was still fun! We had lot’s of fun sharing songs and found “A Bug on a Wall” to be a favorite. Ask a child how it goes.

On Sunday a new group gathered and went canoeing! Huge thanks to the Bonella family for loaning their pickup truck so the canoes could get to the river.  And thanks also go to the adults on the trip for helping with the canoes (and enjoying the water): Larry, Jessica, Aimee, Brent, Marisa, Courtney, Nathan, Molly, and Rob (not pictured).  And as Larry so eloquently said it, thanks “to the kids whose interest and enthusiasm make these events so enjoyable.”

What a great group of folks!
