We had lots of fun last Sunday mastering puzzles and a few puzzling games. Some were harder than they looked! We even had a few adult visitors who joined the fun (and it all carried over into Game Night on Wednesday!)
Many thanks to a host of folk for their help with the canoe trip to Pillsbury Crossing. Larry Weaver, Dan Swenson, Brent Garrison, Marisa Larson, Jess Martin, Kristan Corwin, Molly McGaughey, Krista Daniels, and Daniel Rolles were all the muscles of the trip. Sabrina Bowker took us on a wonderful tour of Japan. We saw a huge buddha and learned some Japanese. Then we had fun with origami! We even managed to make something recognizable – a star box!
On Saturday, Stephen and Michelle Hill gave us a great tour of the helicopters on base.
Mark Clarke took us on a tour of Iceland! 23 hours of darkness during the winter appealed to some of us. 23 hours of daylight in the summer appealed to others. The cold didn’t particularly appeal to anyone. Seeing the Northern Lights appealed to everyone! Flag of Iceland Northern Lights
Tom Phillips took us on a tour of insects! Our kiddos already know a LOT about insects and Tom was very impressed. Our outside adventures netted several exciting creatures (that we released back into the wild).

This gives our older students an opportunity to mentor the younger students and the younger kids love being around the older students – win, win! We continue to staff the nursery and there may be a time or two where … Continue reading Summer 2016
The K-2 class had a great time on Sunday creating stories for a UU Book of Stories. One student would start the story and then new ideas were introduced by another student, and on and on. Each color represents a different person adding to the story. Do you recognize any of the seven principles? Once … Continue reading UU Book of Stories
