April 2022 –

Thank you to all who participated in the UUFM Annual Congregational Meeting on Sunday, April 10.  We elected Emily Fraser as Chair-Elect for 2022-23.  Dan Swenson was elected to a second term as Treasurer, and Ruddy Benavides was elected to her first full term as member-at-large. 

We approved a budget for 2022-23 of $192,341.  We appreciate all your help in funding the budget ver the coming year.  Pledge cards will be sent out soon.

The Board met on Tuesday, April 12.  After debriefing the Annual Meeting, we agreed to streamline the structure of the meeting and to utilize two alternative ways to get information from committees to the congregation.  The agreements are as follows and will be implemented in the coming year. 

• At the Annual Meeting committee chairs present a 2-minute (no longer) report on one PowerPoint slide. Their full reports will be submitted and made available to all. 
• Direct staff to safely improve communications channels so that information about teams, the board, church business and meeting minutes are more accessible. 
• Direct Sunday Services to invite committee chairs to participate in Sunday Services planning at least once a year.

We have appointed delegates to represent you at both the UUA regional and national annual meetings.

Emily Fraser will represent UUFM at the UUA General Assembly, June 22 – 26.  We need two more delegates!  If you are interested, please get in touch with Pastor Isabel or one of the Board members.
