Abolition, Transformation, and Faith Formation

The 13th amendment abolished slavery for some, but not all Americans. This affects each of us in our daily lives, regardless of whether we know or love an incarcerated person. The modern day Unitarian Universalist abolition movement takes a holistic approach, envisioning not only the end of slavery and the prison-industrial complex. It also aims to dismantle all forms of violence, coercion and control and introduce transformative justice and relational practices throughout society.
