Unitarian Universalists maintain open minds and open hearts about God and gender. Whether we identify as cisgender, transgender, or gender non-binary, atheist, agnostic, or theist, we are committed to building community together. We have faith that people of different backgrounds and beliefs can help us to understand reality in new ways. In this spirit, we consider two (not mutually exclusive) hypotheses: that God is transgender and that God is change.
