In relay races, you have to “listen” with all your senses in order to take the baton gracefully and run with it effectively. Community life is no race. But we still need to listen deeply to those who have come before us so we’re ready to lead when they’ve finished their lap. This Sunday, we honor the practice of passing the baton and listen for the wisdom in personal and collective change.
