The Rev. Dr. Mandy Todd, Director of Engagement and Development at Kansas Interfaith Action (KIFA), will help us launch our monthly theme of Trust. Here is the Good News: You, we, are not alone in defending our values. There is a coalition that stretches across the state of Kansas committed to speaking the truth of mercy and justice. KIFA is partnering with communities of faith here in Topeka, as well as Wichita, Lawrence, Salina, Winfield, Newton, Hutchinson, and beyond. There are thousands of prophets all over this state who are committed to a kin-dom of abundance, compassion, love, and grace. You are a prophet. And our world needs you to use your prophetic voice, whispering, singing, and shouting.
Mandy is a Kansas native who grew up in Junction City, KS and attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, earning a BA in Music Education. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and has over 20 years working in local congregations in Colorado and Kansas. Mandy has a Masters degree in Theological Studies from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO, and a Doctor of Ministry in Public Theology from Drew University in Madison, NJ, where her research focused on the intersection of social justice, spirituality, and the arts. Mandy currently lives in Lindsborg with her family.
Come back at 3pm for the KIFA Coffee House. We’ll be hosting KIFA friends from across Manhattan for community-building, conversation, music, art, and (of course) snacks!
