Spiritual Healing for Returning Soldiers

UUFM is honored to host Rev Lt Col Peter Bauer who will discuss PTSD, TBI, and spiritual healing.  Rev Bauer will present a series of three lectures at the Fellowship, on Saturday, January 21, to help us explore spiritual healing as a restorative path assisting returning veterans as they cope with the stresses of combat.

Rev Bauer’s lectures include:

• Spiritual Issues and Combat Stress

• Current and Future Treatment Interventions for PTSD

• Current Interventions for TBI:  Symptoms of Depression and Anger

The lectures take place between 8 am and 2:30 pm, in the Fellowship’s Main Sanctuary.  A light lunch will be served, at no cost, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Donations will be accepted to help cover the cost of food, and Rev Bauer’s transportation and expenses.

These lectures are open to the public, so please spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. Those inter- ested in attending the Saturday lectures may RSVP to Ryan Myhre at ryan.myhre@gmail.com.  Space is limited.

On Sunday, January 22, Rev Bauer leads our morning service. His sermon is entitled, “What Comes After the Beer, Pizza, and Sex.” The service begins at 10:45 am.
