At the 2004 UUA General Assembly, “Escalating Inequality” became the focus of a Congregational Study/Action Issue. Michael Oldfather, Fellowship member and retired KSU economics professor, discusses various explanations for the striking increase in virtually all measures of economic inequality in the U.S., and presents various proposals — modest and major — for how we might move toward significantly reversing this trend. Austin Roberts is this morning’s convener.
